Global Hawk 120mm EDF

I'm working with a few students in collaboration to build one of this giant beauty, The global hawk. Project started on March 2008 and ended on January 2009. Wingspan at 5meters weighing at 11kg, It have a powerful powerplant to get it flying.

This project is in par with the Skybox's project

The material used for the plane is mainly depron and bluefoam. The fuse is depron wrapped around a plywood structure while the wing is airfoiled out using whitefoam and glassed it using fibrecloth.

The motor in the 120mm edf can deliver 2200watts of power producing 5kg of thrust. Enough to lift the giant plane up in the sky.

Be sure to catch the video at the bottom of the page!
